Some ok racing at Perth today and great in seeing the Champ etc make the trip, he will be given a warm welcome from the Scottish followers and has a few good rides. However trainer Stuart Crawford sends out just the one and looks to have a great chance, the big eight year old gelding has already run three times here at Perth but is yet to get a win, he was 3rd here in July under jockey P.Buchanan but today is an amateurs race so jockey S.Crawford (jnr) gets the leg up only for the 2nd time, he went very close in the fog back in Oct 2011 at Wexford over 2m 6f but did make the odd very stupid mistake. Today's trip and going is no issue but trainer G.Elliot has a handy looking runner and is the one the tip must give much respect too, only 5 head for post and it could turn tactical, but i foresee young Craw take it up two from base and skip clear and let the remainder catch him if they can. ​3:50 Perth - Call Box. Re: Jump Racing Monday 9th Sep 2013 Owned and trained by the Smith family and another sole runner, very rarely runs a bad race at Perth and no stranger to the track, looks a wee bit over priced at 7/2 most firms (for now) Going - trip - jockey - track - all suit. 4:50 Perth - Scotch Warrior.
