Flat Racing Sunday 8th Sep 2013

A trainer that could be worth keeping a very close eye on in the near future is Mr Gordon Elliott, he sends just the one for Dundalk and the 4yr old filly never even broke sweat when last winning last week at Musselburgh, that was her first win but the manner she won she is well worth sticking with, Mr Elliott sent two that day and both won, his other being ''Goal'' who has an entry on Monday at Perth. Rab Winston rode her last week at Muss but because of the nature of this race E.McNamara gets the leg up for the third time and is sure to go close, she's been over the track on her first two starts but has yet to win, but that could change today and it being Mr Elliott's sole runner of the day is a tip they are expecting another bold account. I cant see many Dangers in the race BUT Mr Bolger's runner could give us a wee test. 3:55 Dungalk - Diyala. Win Bet taking the early price. ;)

Re: Flat Racing Sunday 8th Sep 2013 Barren Brook looks capable of winning off his current mark of 77. He hasn't won for some time but has twice run well in this grade over this track this season. The last three runs he hasn't enjoyed muck luck in running and granted a smooth enough trip he should be in the mix at least. He has dropped from a mark of 90 at the beginning of the 2012 season and is well handicapped just now. Generally around the 8/1 mark I'll play him e/win the 3.35 at York. Shore Step has risen 13lb in the weights this year and should appreciate the step back up to 6f today in the 4.40 at York. He is a big price today and that will be because of his not so good effort last time at Goodwood when dropped to 5f. He has the beating of Robot Boy on their running in June and seems to find all ground alike. Obviously these 3yo handicaps can be tricky but at 16/1 generally and trading around 29 on the exchanges a few quid e/w might pay dividends.
