4.50 Southwell Royal Alcor bounced back to form last time out, not experienced this surface before so a question mark there. Torero has improved for the step up in trip recently so not sure this drop back in trip is ideal and been soundly beaten 2 times around here. Soweto Star isn’t usually beaten far and ran a sound race on fibresand debut last time out when chasing home Proud Times, he hasn’t exactly backed that form up but he was hit hard by the handicapper. Gets in off the same mark and may have more to offer on this surface. Mr Dream Maker has taken a couple of runs to find his feet after a long break but did score out of the blue last time out. Didn’t have much to spare but even a 3lb rise may be lenient given he is still lightly raced. Yet to encounter this surface though. Light The City might be worth risking again returned to this surface. He was well backed on penultimate start on this surface over this trip. He chased home a potentially well handicapped horse that day gets in off the same mark today and useful apprentice takes off a further 3lb. He has a decent record around here and last win came off a 12lb higher mark so very well treated if putting his best foot forward. 2pt win Light The City 4/1 bet365 5.50 Southwell Decent handicap for the course with plenty of course form on the table. Caldercruix is a capable for a good performance on this surface but may just be high enough in the weights, and also disappointing on turf recently slightly off putting. Fluctuation another course specialist but is another that might just be high enough in the weights though now and this trip is a bare minimum. Four Winds has the visor on for the first time and tries surface for the first time. Also Fallon is a strong looking booking. He was previously a smart performer but has struggled since coming back from a long layoff. Mark has tumbled but does still have something to prove. For me Kingscomb might be worth taking a chance with, he may just be a course specialist. He is 2 from 2 around here one of those over this trip. Those wins have come on the back of some disappointing efforts aswell and would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form back here. 2pt win Kingscomb 6/1 pp 6.50 Southwell Clubland is an obvious favourite and rightly so. He scored nicely at Doncaster on penultimate start and backed that up with a good run last time out. He is 2 from 4 around here but will need to improve again to score off a 7lb higher mark also looked better over slightly further recently which is a concern but worth bearing in mind given his record around here. Desert Strike has been in good form this summer, he has run ok around here but yet to win in 10 starts here and is looking plenty high enough in the weights at present having never won off a mark this high in a 5 year career. Lenny Bee is potentially well treated on his course form from a couple of years ago finishing in the places off marks in low 80’s, running off 73 today and is in reasonable form at present but is becoming hard to win with. R Woody might be a little bit of a dark horse, he will be best remembered for a 100/1 maiden win around here in 2009, made into a reasonable sort winnign off a mark of 89 at his best but losing run stacking up now and has tried surface since and failed to show much spark so maybe a little to prove at the moment. Pull The Pin has built up a very good record around here and often proves hard to past around here and this 5f trip is perhaps not his ideal but his course form might just carry him to the front if they just bomb out in front as he has the speed and stamina. He continues to run well on polytrack and turf most recently so a return here could see him back in winners enclosure. 2pt win Pull The Pin 13/2 bet365

Re: Flat Racing 28th Aug 5.00 Killarney Kingfisher 8/11 Paddy Power BOG Kingfisher was the stable's 2nd string when running 4th behind Free Eagle over this trip at Leopardstown earlier this month. His stable companion Orchestra who finished just over 2l in front of him that day bolted up last Thursday at Tipperary and Kingfisher should do likewise to enhance the form of what looked like the best 2yo maiden of the year so far. 10 Points win Kingfisher 8/11 Paddy Power BOG 5.30 Killarney Piet Mondrian Evs Paddy Power BOG Piet Mondrian finished 3rd in a maiden last backend at Leopardstown to Zand and Ghaamer. It was therefore disappointing that he was only 4th in a maiden at the Curragh in march considering the 2 that finished in front of him last year were rated both stable's best 3yos this year. He now reappears on fast ground against very moderate opposition and it will be a major surprise if he doesn't collect. 10 Points win Piet Mondrian Evs Paddy Power BOG 6.30 Killarney Wannabe Better 17/2 BetVictor BOG Wannabe Better finished placed on many occasions to good horses before opening her account in a maiden at Naas earlier this month. She won well that day and now that she has learned how to win can do so again against many exposed types here. Her trainer has an excellent record at this track. 5 Points e/w Wannabe Better 17/2 BetVictor BOG
