I'm going to try and see if I can make a profit opposing some of the favourites in matches at the US Open. I'll be concentrating on the Men's Tournament, placing one unit bets on players whose price I think is bigger than it should be. I will use Betfair for these bets, and will deduct 5% commission from any winners. Bets will be posted ahead of play on each day of the tournament, when I will also settle bets from the previous day. I think it's possible to be successful with this kind of strategy if you're prepared to go against some of the better known players, and hopefully the results during this tournament will show that.
