joeblitz
5.55 Kilbeggan New River 6/1 Coral New River won a maiden hurdle easily by 11l over course and distance last month. It was a step up from her previous runs and she can beat Cailin Annamh who travels well but doesn't always find under pressure. This track is very much horses for courses and Hughes is top trainer here. 5 Points e/w New River 6/1 Coral 6.25 Kilbeggan Lancing 11/10 BetVictor BOG Lancing won doing handstands at Cork on Monday and his penalty of 6lbs seems lenient. This is negated by the claim of his inexperienced jockey Shorthall who rode a winner for the stable on the flat last Saturday. The inexperience of the jockey rather than the opposition might be his biggest danger. 10 Points win Lancing 11/10 BetVictor BOG 6.55 Kilbeggan Definite Elegance 10/3 BetVictor BOG Definite Elegance 2nd in a bumper here in July of last year when caught near the finish by Cheyenne Girl ran her best race since finishing 3rd at Galway 10 days ago behind Blackmail. If she runs to that level here she will win as that is the strongest form on offer. She ran on there and should appreciate the step up in trip. Dancing Roe, runner up here on her last 2 outings looked a weak finisher lto and Georges Conn who finished 3rd at Bellewstown lto over 3m running on at the finish could prove to be a bigger stumbling block. 10 Points win Definite Elegance 10/3 BetVictor BOG 7.25 Kilbeggan Sizing Machine 9/4 Bet365 BOG Of those that have run Raajih has the best form but Sizing Machine has the best form over hurdles by far having finished 2nd at both the Punchestown and Fairyhouse festivals. His stable is in good form and he will either win or fall today. He is the best bet on the card. The Mullins horse has been well places to achieve what he has achieved but wont trouble Sizing Machine today. 10 Points win Sizing Machine Bet365 BOG 7.55 Annie Other 8/1 Paddy Power BOG Annie Other loves Kilbeggan and has won here at least twice. A poor run at Limerick lto should be overlooked in favour of her win on the flat and over fences at Wexford before that the other course she loves. She should be in the first 3 if not win. Fisher Bridge and Ross Na Righ also hold chances. 5 Points e/w Annie Other 8/1 Paddy Power BOG 8.25 Kilbeggan Back Before Dawn 5/1 William Hill BOG Back Before Dawn, 3rd in a fair maiden Hurdle at Tipperary in June disappointed slightly the following month at Bellewstown when favourite for a bumper (finished 3rd) losing out close home. He has Pink Hat and Alton Bay who was beaten a neck at Galway to beat. But on a day that commemorates Kieran Kelly who rode for Hughes and was killed at this track a few years ago I expect him to and in any case he has the best form. 5 Points e/w Back Before Dawn 5/1 William Hill
