Any advice, im playing live tonight for the first time. Tournament at the local casino £10 buy in and unlimited re-buy in for the first two hours pot limit, until final table. Been told there should be about 100 of us, im off work tomorrow so hopefully it should be a long night. I've read the live tell, that Jez posted earlier, and took some other advice from other sources, so should be a good night. Only slight worry is i understand pot limit, but am not 100% on how to work out what the pot actullay is, i know its probably simple, but could someone let me know. Anyway wish me luck, i'll post sometime tomorrow to let you all know how i did, the other half keeps telling me i'll be home by 10, after the first punters lounge tournament when i went out within 45 secs.

Re: Going Live I play live at my local casino as well. Same set out pot limit and rebuys for the first 90 mins. Admittedly the buy in is steeper 30 quid. My first advice is not to go looking for tells straight away but more the way people bet. You will soon gather what you up against then. At my place there alot of solid players and few maniacs. I play quite tight but very aggressive in the buy in stage. You should able to be at least triple you original stack size by the end of buy ins to have a realistic shot of making the money IMO. It is too easy to get blinded out with cold cards early if you have less. With pot limit it can be quite frustrating for example if you have say Ac Jd and the flop comes Js 9h 2s You will find it very hard to chase out people on the flush draw as your bet is restricted. This makes bluffing hard as well I would advise on bluffing against tight opponents one on one when the blinds are low, you can bluff more when the tourney starts and the blinds really start to move up. But as Jez enjoy yourself don't worry about the stakes, I always have great time playing live and have met some really good people through it. GOOD LUCK.
