DeanK Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 [h=1]Eagle Farm Betting: Streama the mare to beat in the Sky Racing Tattersalls Tiara[/h] EAGLE FARM RACE 7 @ 3:40pm AEST: Sky Racing Tattersalls Tiara is a 1400m Group 1 race at Weight For Age conditions where the 4.40 favourite with Bet365 is STREAMA. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The speed looks ok with the on-pacers drawn wide. They are STEPS IN TIME who will more than likely take up the running, ARCTIC FLIGHT and RED TRACER. FLORIA, SPIRIT SONG, SHES CLEAN SKYERUSH and DIAMOND EARTH can all settle handy while the remainder of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners should get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Last Group 1 of the racing season and it looks an open one with many chances. STREAMA was terrific in the Stradbroke sitting wide just forward of midfield in the run before sprouting wings late to finish a close up 4th in what was arguably her career best performance. She drops back to mares grade here, draws the inside alley and regains the services of Hugh Bowman who has a terrific record on her. SPIRIT SONG is having her 3rd run for Kelso Wood and after a luckless run over an unsuitable journey first up, she was thrown straight into the Group 1 Stradbroke and after enjoying a nice run throughout she was severely hampered just as she was gathering momentum. I’m convinced that cost her at least 2 lengths and arguably a place or winning chance in the race. http://www.betzone.com.au/eagle-farm-betting-streama-the-mare-to-beat-in-the-sky-racing-tattersalls-tiara--20130624 Quote
DeanK Posted June 20, 2013 Author Posted June 20, 2013 Re: Eagle Farm Betting 22/06/2013 [h=1]Eagle Farm Betting: Moody's import Ibicenco to relish the rise in distance in the Carlton Draught Tattersalls Cup[/h] EAGLE FARM RACE 6 @ 3:05pm AEST: The Carlton Draught Tattersalls Cup is a 2200m Group 3 race for 3 year olds and upwards where the 5.0 favourite with Centrebet is IBICENCO. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The speed looks ok without being a fast tempo. BOREHOLE looks the leader from RIALYA. SHENZHOU STEADS and TRAJET come across from wide barriers to settle handy while IBICENCO and ENDOR from the inside may be up on the speed also. Looks a race where all runners will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: IBICENCO may just have a class edge here as this is not a strong edition of the Tatts Cup. He comes into this race having his 3rd run this campaign and his 6th run in Australia for star trainer Peter Moody. He resumed over the 1600m of the Mayor’s Cup where he made good late ground over the concluding stages to finish just under 2 lengths away in 5th. He then stayed at the 1600m and was slightly flat footed when the field sprinted before he just started warming up late, suggesting the rise in distance here is what he is looking for. The last 2 runs of his preparation during the spring read very well for a race like this, especially his run in the Lexus where with even luck he arguably should have won. http://www.betzone.com.au/eagle-farm-betting-moody-s-import-ibicenco-to-relish-the-rise-in-distance-in-the-carlton-draught-tattersalls-cup--20130624 Quote
