MOONEE VALLEY RACE 7 @ 3:32pm AEST: The Printhouse Graphics Handicap is a 2040m race for 3 year olds and upwards where the 3.85 favourite with Centrebet is MR O’CEIRIN HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks pretty good speed on paper. ALROUZ leads with pressure from AULD BURNS, CONSTANT FORCE and possibly MR O’CEIRIN. SESSESSIO not too far away while the remainder of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners should get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Despite the weight, MR O’CEIRIN might be too good here. He has some form in his last two preparations that is far stronger than anything in this race and his first up run after trialling well was excellent. He got back in the run on this occasion on a day that was hard to make ground. He was many lengths away from the leader and eventual winner Strawberry Boy in the straight before flying home late to finish just 1.8L from the potential star galloper. MOONEE VALLEY RACE 2 @ 12:35pm AEST: The Slickpix Handicap is a 1200m race for 3 year olds and upwards where the 2.80 favourite with Bet365 is MR MAKE BELIEVE. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Small field but the tempo should be quite strong. MR MAKE BELIEVE probably leads from the inside with pressure from SEA LORD, TACKLEBURY, ZEDI KNIGHT and DEE BEE NINE. OVERTAKE settles just off the speed and LORD PYRUS and LIVIGNO will be at the tail. Looks a race where all runners will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Very even race. MR MAKE BELIEVE found the front last start and never looked like being headed. It was admittedly a day where the on-pacers were advantaged but there was a touch of authority about the win that said he might be able to string a few together over the winter. He steps up 200m here today, gets a rain affected surface which he loves and is drawn the inside which is to his advantage as he is a quick beginner. He is a fraction short in early markets but is the one to beat. OVERTAKE is the value in the race. He was terrific first up when arguably should have won when held up in the straight, then he was slightly flat 2^nd up down the straight last week.
