A terrible handicap hurdle over 3m3f on fast ground but one which smells possible coup to me. On his last 2 runs you would give this horse no chance, finishing tailed off over 2m1f on heavy ground at Taunton after being pulled up in his only previous run last year. Please realise a very things though: He is having his first run for Best and with a tonguestrap and visor no doubt to sharpen him up. He is running over 3 miles as opposed to 2 and has fast ground. Going back through his history, he has won after a break, outstaying the likes of Nemetan and Wyck Hill over 3 miles at Kemton 2 years ago last March. He also won twice on the flat both times in June and both times on fast ground. Best engages Moore to ride him tomorrow and this horse if he comes back to anything like that Kempton form would win this with his mouth open. Best is fantastic at getting races out of other trainer's cast offs and guess what? He pulled off a big gamble last week with a similar out of form type coming back after a break. So my recommendation is based on the horse's ability vs the opposition, the trainer's form and the trainer's ability to galvanise these broken down horses first time out. A chance is taken in light of last week that he will also go to the well with this tomorrow. Strike while the iron is hot and first time out.

has been in great heart as of late despite now being 9 years of age. As always she has been kept busy for trainer Stuart Howe having had 11 runs already this year between the flat and hurdling. Today she seeks a hat trick over hurdles having won her last two efforts at Exeter and over today's course and distance more recently just 13 days ago. She has had a run on the flat since then just 3 days after her win to which she produced a decent 2nd placed effort. She has however been relishing her hurdling more recently and off just a 4lb higher mark than her win over course and distance she gets my vote to land this event where there's not too much great form in the book to go on. Giles Hawkins knows her well having been on board for her 2 recent wins and there's no reason why he can't make that third win here today.
