[h=1]Flemington Betting: Chris Waller to continue his hot run of form with Fulgar in the L.V. Lachal Handicap[/h]

t597_cc1_380058-chris-waller.jpg FLEMINGTON RACE 10 @ 4:28pm AEST: The L.V. Lachal Handicap is a 1700m race for horses rated between 0-89 where the 2.80 favourite with Bet365 is FULGAR. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks strong speed on paper with 3 genuine leaders engaged. THE NEW BOY, LATE NIGHT FLIGHT and TYCOON ROB fight for the lead. ME HUNGI, IMOTO and probably UPBEAT who is up to his right distance settle just off them The remainder of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Looks another great race for FULGAR who has been racing consistently since arriving in the Chris Waller yard. He’s had 4 starts in Australia after coming across from England. He debuted over 1400m and made terrific late ground after settling back in the field. He was then stepped straight up to 2000m where he settled last and came home with a strong run only to be nosed out on the line to lose by the barest of margins. In his preceding run he was sent around a short price favourite and had no luck, racing wide but still finished the race off well to run 2nd and put the writing on the wall for his next start which was a terrific win, sweeping down the middle of the Flemington straight to win with authority. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-chris-waller-to-continue-his-hot-run-of-form-with-fulgar-in-the-l-v-lachal-handicap--20130610

Re: Flemington Betting 09/06/2013 [h=1]Flemington Betting: The rise in distance to prove the winning tonic for That's The One[/h]

t598_749_thats-the-one-620x350.jpg FLEMINGTON RACE 8 @ 3:10pm AEST: TROA/Luxbet Winter Championship Series Heat 4 is a 1400m handicap for 3 year olds and upwards where the 4.8 favourite with Luxbet is THAT’S THE ONE. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The speed looks ok without being a fast tempo. SPACECRAFT up to 1400m probably leads from BELLISIMO (if he gains a start) and TESTASCANA. UTAH SAINTS, ALMIGHTY BULLET, WALL STREET and OUR FREED MAN settle handy to the speed while the remainder of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all horses should get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: THAT’S THE ONE has his hoof firmly planted on the till and I believe this will be the day he breaks his winning drought. He comes into this race after 3 extremely encouraging runs, the first of which was over the unsuitable 1000m journey where he surprisingly raced on speed and almost pinched the race before General Truce ran him down over the concluding stages. He then took part in the Warrnambool carnival running a brave 2nd in the Wangoom after being wide throughout. His next assignment was at his favourite track of Flemington but he surprisingly stayed at the 1200m but was well backed and didn’t have much luck in the straight, held up at a critical time before finding the line well in a run that had 1400m next start all over it. He does step up to 1400m, is drawn perfectly for a nice midfield run in barrier 7 and gets the in-form Ben Melham to do the riding. He is twice a winner over 1400m at Flemington and does handle all surfaces. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-the-rise-in-distance-to-prove-the-winning-tonic-for-that-s-the-one-20130610
