DOOMBEN RACE 8 @ 3:40pm AEST: The Carlton Mid Doomben 10,000 is a 1350m Group 1 race for 3 year olds and upwards where the 3.60 favourite with Betfair is YOUR SONG. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The speed looks good. RAIN AFFAIR STEPS IN TIMES and BUFFERING (if he jumps better than last start) fight out the lead. YOUR SONG, SEA SIREN and RANGIRANGDO all from wide gates settle next in line while the remainder of the field position midfield or beyond in a race where all runners will get there chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Looks an open edition of the Doomben 10,000. The 3 year olds have absolutely dominated the big races this season and I believe it will continue here with the Peter Snowden trained EPAULETTE. He comes into this race 3^rd up after two encouraging runs, the first of which he got a long way out of his ground in the TJ Smith before rocketing to the line late along the inside which was arguably inferior ground to finish 2^nd behind retired superstar Black Caviar. He then wasn’t disgraced in the All Aged Stakes where he got back in the field again and run on evenly to finish 2.6L from All Too Hard.
