DeanK
[h=1]Caulfield Betting: Chris Waller to continue his outstanding record with imports in the Guinot International Handicap[/h] CAULFIELD RACE 5 @ 2:35pm AEST: The Guinot International Handicap is an 1800m race for horses rated between 0-89 where the 3.40 favourite with Bet365 is RUGGED CROSS. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The speed looks ok here. GREAT PLAYER probably leads from WARATOR, THE BIG STEEL, HARRY TRIMBOLE and MILENSNAKE. The race favourite RUGGED CROSS gets a nice run just behind them with the remainder of the field settling midfield or beyond in a race where all runners should get there chance barring bad luck or track bias RACE ANALYSIS: RUGGED CROSS was ultra impressive on his Australian debut in a 0-82 race at Sandown midweek meeting. He sat 3 wide with no cover just shy of midfield for the majority of the trip, when asked to quicken by Glen Boss he did and got to the lead quite smartly before Boss went easy on him over the last 50m to make the margin a little closer than it probably should have been. Today he steps up in grade only marginally and stays down in the weights. He rises to the 1800m which is bound to suit and Glen Boss retains the ride. He looks likely to be gifted the run of the race from barrier 3 and he does boast 2 listed placings over further in England and that is more than a lot of this field (bar MOTIVADO) can boast. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting-chris-waller-to-continue-his-outstanding-record-with-imports-in-the-guinot-international-handicap-20130429
