[h=1]Morphettville Betting: Snitzerland looks primed to register her first Group 1 in the Sportingbet Classic[/h]

t571_a53_snitzerland0678.jpg MORPHETTVILLE RACE 5 @ 2:35pm AEST: The Sportingbet Classic is a 1200m Group 1 races for Fillies and Mares where the 1.80 favourite with Bet365 is SNITZERLAND. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks good speed. SNITZERLAND leads from ALTAR, PLATELET and LIGHT EXPRESS. ANGELIC LIGHT, JUST DISCREET and CLASSY CHLOE next in line from SHAMAL WIND and AVOID LIGHTNING, the rest of the runners settle midfield or beyond in a race where all should get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Hard to look past SNITZERLAND here. After a terrific preparation last spring against her own age where she managed to win 4 of 6 races, she has stepped up to open company and been excellent in both her runs. She resumed in the Challenge Stakes over 1000m where she was heavily backed and duly saluted for punters, showing terrific gate speed to co-lead with Hay List and then burst away in the straight to break the track record. She was then sent around favourite in the Group 1 Galaxy meeting rivals from the Challenge worse off at the weights. She sat on a frantic pace and gave a good kick in the straight but was beaten by a freakish performance, with Bel Sprinter who enjoyed a softer run sprinting past her with 200m to go. She fought on bravely for 2nd and faces a much easily task here today where she drops back to mares grade and carries the lightest weight. She should be too good. http://www.betzone.com.au/morphettville-betting-snitzerland-looks-primed-to-register-her-first-group-1-in-the-sportingbet-classic-20130429

Re: Morphettville Betting 27/04/2013 [h=1]Morphettville Betting: 3 good betting options in the Tattsbet Queen Of The Turf Stakes[/h]

t572_e82_Lake_Sententia.jpg MORPHETTVILLE RACE 7 @ 3:55pm AEST: The Tattsbet Queen Of The South Stakes is a 1600m Group 2 race for fillies and mares where the 3.80 favourite with Bet365 is LAKE SENTENTIA. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Doesn’t appear a huge amount of speed on paper here. FAMILY CREST will lead from STAR OF GISELLE and probably STORM BURST next. They are drawn in the inside 3 barriers so the order will be sorted out quickly as the remainder of the field have a pattern of settling midfield or beyond. Looks a race where the on-pacers will be suited barring track bias and luck. RACE ANALYSIS: This race has been made tricky by the speed map which looks to advantage the on-pacers in STAR OF GISELLE And FAMILY CREST. Even still I like LAKE SENTENTIA after two encouraging runs back from a spell after a successful campaign last preparation. She went from winning a maiden on August 13th 2012 to running 2nd in the Group 2 Matriarch Stakes on November 10. She then spelled and resumed at Warrnambool in a BM89 race where she got way too far back and made good late ground. It was a similar story at Flemington in her last start where she was in an impossible position at the turn but once clear she sprouted wings to force a photo finish with The New Boy which she lost. Today she steps him to 1600m which will suit ideally, the question mark is what sort of run she will get from the barrier and how far she’ll get back in a race where the doesn’t appear much speed on paper. http://www.betzone.com.au/morphettville-betting-3-good-betting-options-in-the-tattsbet-queen-of-the-turf-stakes-20130428
