MORPHETTVILLE RACE 7 @ 4:10pm AEST: The R.N Irwin Stakes is an 1100m Group 3 race for 3 year olds and upwards where the 5.5 favourite with Luxbet is LOVEYAMADLY. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Look’s a strong tempo on paper. The potential leaders are ACHENAR, CONSERVATIORIUM, JUSTIFY THAT and CANALI. Just behind them will be CLASSY CHLOE, LOVEYAMADLY, MEADOWS JIM, PLATELET, JUST SYBIL, ZAMORAR, and HIDDEN VALUE. So you can tell by the number of the horses mentioned in the leading bunch that the speed will be well and truly on. The remaining runners will settle midfield or beyond in a race where all horses will get their chance barring luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Super race. PLATELET brings some extremely strong form into this race and looks outstanding value. She resumed a fortnight ago in a mares race where she lumped 60.5kgs and ran a brave 3^rd behind Sharnee Rose and Elite Elle. Both those mares carried 6.5kgs less than PLATELET and Elite Elle has since gone on to win next start by over 3 lengths. Her form last preparation was terrific, stringing 3 wins in a row together, 2 in 3 year old grade and then stepping up to a Listed weight for age race and winning. She was then stepped up further in class and kept improving, running 3^rd behind Golden Archer in the Listed Heath at Caulfield and then running a 0.5L 2^nd behind Bel Sprinter in the Group 3 McEwen. Bel Sprinter has since gone on to be a dominant Group 1 winner.
