[h=1]Royal Randwick Betting: The Derby looks a Dundeel but Victorian raider Phillipi is over the odds[/h]

t555_59c_855640-it-039-s-a-dundeel.jpg RANDWICK RACE 7 @ 3:50pm AEST: The ATC Derby is a 2400m Group 1 race for 3 year olds where the 1.32 favourite with Betfair is IT’S A DUNDEEL. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Doesn’t look a huge amount of speed on paper but over this sort of journey it shouldn’t really matter. BLOODBUZZ OHIO leads from HIPPOPUS and KINGDOMS. HVASSTAN probably settles next in the line from PHILIPPI, BASS STRAIGHT and the hot favourite IT’S A DUNDEEL who may find himself 3 wide with no cover. The remainder of the field settle back in the field in a race where all runners will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: IT’S A DUNDEEL looks a potential star of the Australian turf after 2 slashing victories in his last two starts. He resumed on a heavy track in the Hobartville where he ran on strongly to finish 4th behind Pierro who has gone on to win 2 Group 1 Weight For Age races since. He then stepped up to the 1600m and was too good for a good field in the Randwick Guineas before an absolute annihilation in the Rosehill Guineas where he won the race by almost 7 lengths. Today he steps up to 2400m, which he is unproven at, he ran favourite in the Victoria Derby over 2500m and was unplaced after settling too far back. Many times the class rises to the top in these 3 year old staying events and not just the best stayer wins but the classiest horse does. http://www.betzone.com.au/royal-randwick-betting-the-derby-looks-a-dundeel-but-victorian-raider-phillipi-is-over-the-odds--20130415

Re: Randwick Betting 13/04/2013 [h=1]Royal Randwick Betting: The barnstorming grey Arinosa looks well placed to extend her winning streak[/h]

t556_8e8_Arinosa-1364631617_n.jpg ROYAL RANDWICK RACE 8 @ 4:30pm AEST: The Belevedere Sapphire Stakes is a 1200m Group 2 race for fillies and mares where the 4.4 favourite with Bet365 is ARINOSA. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The tempo looks strong here. KARUTA QUEEN, GYBE, SATIN SHOES, MRS ONASIS, ALTAR and MISS STELLABELLE all burn towards the lead. DYSTOPIA and SHAMAL WIND camp just off the aforementioned bunch with FORTFORTURE, EMMALENE and DETOURS behind them, the remainder of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Good open race. ARINOSA has been absolutely flying since joining the Chris Waller stable. In her last 9 starts she has either run 1st or 2nd and she is currently on a streak of 3 straight wins all in impressive fashion. After a barnstorming victory in the Grey’s race at Flemington on Oaks Day, she spelled and come back better than ever with another victory coming from well back in the field. She then stepped to a Group race for the first time in her career and again settled well back in the field which on paper didn’t look like suiting and she was in turn risked in the market getting out to double figure odds but she proved punters wrong storming down the outside to win easily and put the writing on the wall that she may just be a Group 1 mare. She does rise in weight here and stays at 1200m when the rise to 1400m may have been more suitable, but the tempo of this race should suit and you just cannot ignore how well she is going. DETOURS comes into this race first up after winning a trial. She was an ultra impressive winner first up last campaign in Melbourne when she raced wide with no cover yet still sprinted well in the straight to win easily over and eventual Group 1 winner and top weight in this event MRS ONASIS. That was her 3rd win first up from 4 starts, the query is what sort of run she’ll get from the wide gate. http://www.betzone.com.au/royal-randwick-betting-the-barnstorming-grey-arinosa-looks-well-placed-to-extend-her-winning-streak-20130415
