[h=1]Moonee Valley Betting: The talented Honey Flower to prove a sweet punting proposition for punters[/h]

t553_6e1_620honey.jpg MOONEE VALLEY RACE 5 @ 2:55pm AEDT: The Silver Thomas Hanley Handicap is a 1200m race for fillies and mares where the 5.0 favourite with Centrebet is HONEY FLOWER. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks good speed here. Anyone of GYBE, OUR EMILY MIA, CHERISH HARMONY, VALROUZ and CHINZIA could take up the running. AVIONICS, ZIPPA THE RIPPA and JOLIE BLONDE settle just off the leading bunch while the remainder of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Good little off season race. HONEY FLOWER is a talented and underrated mare who went through grades terrifically well last campaign and ended up a Listed winner with victory down the Flemington straight on Oaks Day last year. She resumed from a spell a fortnight ago in the Listed Thoroughbred over 1200m, where she sat back off the speed and hit the line hard from wide on the track to finish just 1.3L away from eventual winner Ready To Rip who has form around a horse like Buffering at Weight For Age level. The speed looks suitable here for her to sit back and come with one big run. She’s never won with this sort of weight before which is the query, but I think she is the best talent in the race. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-the-talented-honey-flower-to-prove-a-sweet-punting-proposition-for-punters-20130408

Re: Moonee Valley Betting 06/04/2013 [h=1]Moonee Valley Betting: Bold front runner Muhaajir to continue his hot form in the Device Technologies Australia Handicap[/h]

t554_455_Muhaajir_ROS_3996.jpg MOONEE VALLEY RACE 7 @ 4:22pm AEDT: The Device Technologies Australia Handicap is a 1519m race for 3 year olds and upwards where the favourite 4.0 with Sportsbet is MUHAAJIR. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Doesn’t look massive speed on paper. MUHAAJIR leads from GREAT PLAYER and IT’S PRINCE. OVER QUOTA and THE WINGMAN should settle next with the remainder of the field settling midfield or beyond in a race that looks to be favouring the on-pacers. RACE ANALYSIS: MUHAAJIR is an in-form horse on the up and looks the one to beat here. He has won 3 of his last 4 starts in similar fashion of racing on the speed. Two starts ago he dictated terms at this track but over the 1600m rather than the 1519m, he shot clear at the turn and won by over 2 lengths. He then went to Bendigo on Golden Mile Day and looked on paper like he’d get an easy lead, this didn’t eventuate with him having to work harder in the early stages of the race than expected. He still prevailed comfortably. Chile Express who ran 3rd has since gone onto win and Valedictorium who he has beat easily in his last two starts has since gone onto run a close 2ndbehind Oriental Ruby who has form around SECRET LIASON who is right in the market in this race. Add to that he drops 5.5kgs on his last run after the claim, is a winner at Moonee Valley and looks like getting a soft lead so the 4.0 available looks a reasonable price. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-bold-front-runner-muhaajir-to-continue-his-hot-form-in-the-device-technologies-australia-handicap-20130408
