HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Small field of 7 so can’t imagine them going too hard here. KARUTA QUEEN probably leads her stable mate BLACK CAVIAR. They look a clear first two in running. LUCKYGRAY or SPIRIT OF BOOM settle next from FAWKER. GOOD BA BA and LINTON will bring on the tail. It looks a race where the on-pacers will be advantaged. RACE ANALYSIS: BLACK CAVIAR’s return to the track in the Lightning Stakes a month ago was simply phenomenal. Not only did she destroy a good field of sprinters but she went on to break a 25 year old track record that so many had attempted prior to her. Out of that race was the Newmarket Handicap quinella with Shamexpress and Moment Of Change running 1-2. MOONEE VALLEY RACE 6 @ 8:20pm AEDT: The Sportingbet Sunline Stakes is a 1600m Group 2 event for Fillies and Mares where the 4.6 favourite with Luxbet is LIGHTS OF HEAVEN. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks reasonable speed on paper with FILL THE PAGE from barrier 1 and FAMILY CREST from barrier 13 contesting the lead. TAVARNELLE looks set for the gun run from barrier 3 with ROCCIN JO and SPIRIT SONG not far away. The rest settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners should get there chance barring track bias and luck. RACE ANALYSIS: SPIRIT SONG won this race last year on protest and looks even better placed this year to go back to back. She comes into the race 3^rd up, whereas last Autumn she came into the race having her 8^th start of the preparation. Her two runs this Autumn have been good without winning. She gave her rivals weight on both occasions and tonight she meets many of them from those two starts much better in on the weights. She gave BONARIA 4.5kgs last start and finished just 0.4 lengths behind her; tonight they meet at level weights. Add to that her terrific record at Moonee Valley, Craig Williams taking the ride and the likelihood of a good run in transit and she looks a terrific bet.
