[h=1]Flemington Betting: Tough old sprinter Commands respect in the Kensington Stakes[/h] t466_cc3_First-Command_14645_n.jpg FLEMINGTON RACE 3 @ 2:10pm AEDT: The Kensington Stakes is an 1000m race for 3 year olds and upwards at with Set Weights and Penalty conditions where the 1.70 favourite with Sportsbet is FIRST COMMAND. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks a pretty simple speed map here. Not huge speed from the small field. LIGHT EXPRESS leads from FIRST COMMAND then ROCKING FORCE and BELFAST BOY next in line from GOOD BA BA and DIPLOMATIC FORCE at the tail of the field. Looks a race where the on-pacers might be advantaged. RACE ANALYSIS: Disappointing numbers in this with only 6 runners engaged. FIRST COMMAND won this race last year and looks a total moral in it this year back to Set Weights and Penalties. He resumed a fortnight ago from a 12 week break, he drew wide but after 200m he was in an A1 spot camped just off the speed and by the top of the straight he was the only horse you wanted to be on. Glen Boss released the breaks but only drove him to the line hands and heels which may suggest he had a fair bit more in reserve. Boss takes the ride again, he’ll either lead or sit just off LIGHT EXPRESS and looks a touch classy for this field. GOOD BA BA is an extraordinary 11 year old ex Hong Kong horse who had his first start for Rick Hore-Lacy in the Standish and ran a terrific eye catching 4th. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-tough-old-sprinter-commands-respect-in-the-kensington-stakes

Re: Flemington Betting 19/01/2013 [h=1]Flemington Betting: Red Inca looks well placed to turn the tables on Crookhaven[/h] t467_c1d_crookhaven010113.jpg FLEMINGTON RACE 4 @ 2:50pm AEDT: The Seascay Handicap is a 1410m race for 3 year olds where the 5.5 favourite with Sportsbet is EMPEROR MAX. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Looks strong speed in this race, EMPEROR MAX, EYE OF THE WORLD, RIGHTEOUS RULER, LISSOM, and CHAMPAGNGE TALES will push forward. They are drawn from barriers 2-15 so the tempo should be strong. GENERAL GROOVE and THE UNEXPECTED settle handy to the speed. Unsure what CROOKHAVEN will do from barrier 16, he went forward last start, if they attempt to do the same again he might be posted wide. Looks a race where those settling midfield and beyond look advantaged. RACE ANALYSIS: RED INCA is absolutely flying at the moment and deserves to win a race. After breaking his maiden first up and running a nice 2nd over 1200m at Sandown he stepped up to the 1400m at Flemington and ran an absolute bottler behind potential star in Lampedusa, where he settled back in the field and rocketed to the line in the quickest late sectionals. Khalifa, Durnford and Lingo have come out of that race and won so the form is strong. He stayed at the Flemington 1400m journey for his next start on New Years Day. On a day that was near impossible to make up ground he settled worse than midfield on the rails and it wasn’t until 200m to go that he obtained clear running and when he did he sprouted wings to just miss claiming the eventual winning in CROOKHAVEN. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-red-inca-looks-well-placed-to-turn-the-tables-on-crookhaven
