Re: BBOTD Thursday 17th January 7.00 - Wolverhampton - Spifer @ 9/2 Betfred Spifer certainly promised to be better than a class 4 AW handcapper a year or so ago and i'm hoping he is too good for this field tomorrow. He never quite got going this summer but has been running in better races than this and should make ammends for his narrow C&D defeat last month sooner rather than later. The form of that 1L 3rd has worked out okay with the winner looking a progressive type who went in under a penalty in emphatic style on New Years Day, something which isnt quite so common at this level as it is in lower class racing. He remains on the same mark of 85 and sports cheekpieces which seemed to help last time out. Adam Kirby replaces Seb Sanders in the saddle which is a big plus in my eyes and he has a reasonably good draw. I think he is the one to beat here and if Marco Botti's recent form is anything to go by he should run well once more.
