BBOTD - Friday 11th Jan 2013

Recommended Posts

Another wide open bumper with a few of the big camps playing their hand, one or two for consideration could be - trainer Mr Hobbs with jockey T.O'Brien taking the ride, 1 start 1 win but not been seen for a long time so really could be anything, Mr Hobbs has been in pretty good form but has also been hitting the crossbar a fair bit. Mr King sends out his unraced 5yr old gelding owned by Mr Hemmings, any cash for this one could be a tip in its self, the horse also has an entry for Sat at Warwick but that must be a little insurance policy from Mr Hobbs. Trainer G.Moore sends out just the three runners with J.Moore taking the ride on two of them, i'll side with them both in this race and again he's another that could be anything, the 6yr old has good breeding and two keen racing owners, he's another one that should be watched in the market. Another very tough bumper race to call but these races are great for the N/B 3:50 Huntingdon - Dr Thistle. 1pt win bet @ SP

Re: BBOTD - Friday 11th Jan 2013 16.30 Wolverhampton: Ryedale Dancer @ 7/1 Bet365 - 4pts win Ryedale Dancer ran a huge race here at Wolverhampton last week finishing a smart 2nd to the very progressive and simply too well handicapped Miss Bunter. Ryedale Dancer travelled nicely in rear but had a bit to do from behind turning for home for that reason. She was switched to the inside then where she finished like a train to land the second spot. That was over 5f but she's probably better over a bit further so it should be in her favour to race over 6f here tomorrow. She's only 2lb above her last winning mark but I felt this recent performance was a few pounds better than the mark she's left on at the moment. The form of that race works very well out with the winner and the 3rd placed horse all followed up with a success. Overall it was a much stronger race than the race she's contesting in tomorrow. Only slight concern is the wide draw but with only eleven runners in the field the second widest draw doesn't has to be a too big factor probably and therefore I'm pretty confident in a big run of Ryedale Dancer.
