Re: BBOTD Friday 4th 3.10 Musselburgh Stormin Exit 1pt win @ 11/2 VC Bet Going to take a chance on this horse returning from a 426 day absence for the Donald McCain yard. This will be his first run for the yard after switching from Jim Goldie and I think there is every chance he can go well. He has a good record when returning from an absence with his figures reading 4-1-F-1 when returning from over 100 days off the track. The fall actually came in the Grand Sefton at Aintree in 2010 where he was sent off joint favourite and still travelling well in behind the leaders when coming down. I think he is the most talented horse in this line up and much will depend on his well being but I would fancy his trainer to have him spot on for his return to action. He has shown some high class form in the past with a 7th in the Paddy Power Chase over at Leopardstown and an 8th in the Topham back in 2011. He won a very competitive handicap chase at Ayr off a mark of 122 in 2010 where he had the likes of Five Dream, Takeroc, Chaninbar and Mister McGoldrick in behind. He was also an easy winner at the same track off 125 and his Topham effort came off 133. He returns to action off 127 and I feel he has been given an excellent chance by the handicapper. He handles testing ground and should go close if retaining his ability. The current favourite Isla Pearl Fisher won this race a couple of years ago but would probably prefer better ground so I think he is worth taking on.
