DeanK
[h=1]Moonee Valley Betting: Smart Girl to go Rockin to victory in the Adapt Australia Handicap[/h] MOONEE VALLEY RACE 5 @ 3:30pm AEDT: The Adapt Australia Handicap is a Bench Mark 72 race for 4 year old mares and upwards where the 3.7 favourite with Betfair is GIRL GONE ROCKIN HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: The speed looks ok as the on-pace runners are drawn wide. KIMIKO will lead from ANGELIC LASS and KOE. FAMILY CREST, GIRL GONE ROCKIN and SAPPHIRE PRINCESS settle handy while the remainder of the field will get settle midfield or beyond in a race where all runners should get there chance barring track bias and luck. RACE ANALYSIS: Looks a lovely race for GIRL GONE ROCKIN. She comes into this race 4th up from a spell and her last two runs have been terrific. After a first up run where everything went wrong she stepped up in distance at Sandown and made good late ground to finish a close up 3rdbehind Itsmycall. She then went to Werribee and stepped up to the 1600m and dropped down to a Class 1 event and was utterly dominant disposing of the small field by over 3 lengths. The 2ndhorse from that race has since won a much stronger event so the form has been franked. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-smart-girl-to-go-rockin-to-victory-in-the-adapt-australia-handicap
DeanK
Re: Moonee Valley Betting 29th December [h=1]Moonee Valley Betting: Speedy South Australian mare to steal the Victorian prize money in the Chandler Macleod Handicap[/h] MOONEE VALLEY RACE 6 @ 4:10pm AEDT: The Chandler Macleod Handicap is a 1000m open handicap for fillies and mares where the 3.8 favourite with Centrebet is AVOID LIGHTNING. HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Should be solid speed in this event with AVOID LIGHTNING, ZIPPA THE RIPPER, SURVANA and HALLE ROCKS all contesting the lead. TWO HILLS, GYPSYS BEST and SUMAKARAY next in line while the remainder of the field will be midfield or beyond in a race where all runners will get there chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: AVOID LIGHTNING is clearly the class runner of the field. She’s won 5 from 7 starts including a Listed victory in the Lightning Stakes in Adelaide. She was far from disgraced when thrown in the deep end of the Cockram Stakes at Caulfield in August. She struck an extremely heavy track that day and looked in trouble when 400m to go but found something late in the race to only finish 2.4 lengths away from Lady Melksham who was absolutely flying at the time. She comes into this race first up, has drawn perfectly in barrier 5 where she can either lead or sit just outside the lead, she has Adam McCabe on board who has won on her 3 times and importantly takes 2kg off with his claim giving her 58kg to contend with which is probably the only query. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-speedy-south-australian-mare-to-steal-the-victorian-prize-money-in-the-chandler-macleod-handicap-
