[h=1]Flemington Betting: In the toughest race of the day Moulin Bleu appeals at a massive price[/h] t437_512_art-svHOTLOVER-420x0(1).jpg FLEMINGTON RACE 7 @ 4.40pm AEDST: The Lanec Services Handicap is a race for 3 year olds and upwards run over 1720m where the favourite is HOT LOVER who is 3.30 at Bet365 HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Big field but not much speed on paper. MOULIN BLEU probably leads uncontested from CRAWFISH and CHATEAU FORT who are drawn well and should take advantage of that by racing on the speed. WHISPER DOWNS can race handy and LORD WIMBLE, SADALBARI and possible the German import ANGOLANER from the inside can be handy but that is unclear. The rest of the field settle midfield and beyond in a race where being on the pace looks to be advantageous. RACE ANALYSIS: Impossible race. HOT LOVER has come up very short in early markets at around 3’s, I think that is massively under the odds considering he has never won over the journey and he probably won’t get this race run to suit. In saying that he is the horse with the most upside in this race and his two runs this preparation have been good in on-pace dominated situations. He is a horse who likes to get back in running which will see him running a lot of placing’s rather than wins throughout his career. MOULIN BLEU is the opposite; he puts himself into the race and usually gives a kick in the straight. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-in-the-toughest-race-of-the-day-moulin-bleu-appeals-at-a-massive-price

Re: Flemington Betting 15th December [h=1]Flemington Betting: Lampedusa can end the day of a high note for punters at fantastic Flemington[/h] t438_9a6_flem.jpg FLEMINGTON RACE 8 @ 5.20pm AESDT: The Kane Constructions Handicap is a 1410m race for 3 and 4 year olds rated between 0-78 where the favourite is LAMPEDUSA who is 3.35 with Betfair HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Doesn’t look too much speed on paper. SUPREME WARRIOR leads from the favourite LAMPEDUSA who shouldn’t have too many problems crossing over from barrier 14. KHALIFA and CHARMED HARMONY settled behind them and CITY OF SONG who showed more gate speed last week and CROSS OF GOLD can settle next in line. The rest of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where all horses should get their chance barring track bias and bad luck. RACE ANALYSIS: Even though he has drawn the widest gate, LAMPEDUSA looks well placed again here. He is having his 4th career start, his first was an extremely impressive maiden victory where he bolted in by over 4 lengths. He was then terribly ridden at Flemington on Emirates Stakes Day and given no chance to win. He then destroyed a handy field of 3 year olds at Caulfield a fortnight ago, sitting just off the pace and rounding up his rivals with 250m to go and sprinting away to win by 3.3 lengths. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-lampedusa-can-end-the-day-of-a-high-note-for-punters-at-fantastic-flemington
