DeanK
[h=1]Caulfield Betting: The consistent Bia Diamond is all the rage but Aliyana can cause an upset and is the value in the race[/h] CAULFIELD RACE 3 @ 2.45pm AESDT: The Legatee Brian 'Lucky' Luscombe Plate is a 2000m race for fillies and mares rated between 0-82 where the favourite is BIA DIAMOND who is 1.75 with Bet365 HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Small field so speed won’t be break neck. STREETS OF SEATTLE or possibly HOLD FOR APPLAUSE look the leaders. ALIYANA box seats from barrier 2 and BIA DIAMOND settles just behind her and should enjoy a nice run. The remaining two runners in FIESOLE and TULLY COSTA are likely to be the last two horses in running. Looks a race where being on or around the speed will be the best place to be. RACE ANALYSIS: Looks a two horse race on paper. BIA DIAMOND is an extremely genuine mare from the Darren Weir stable who came to town for the first time a fortnight ago and ran a very respectable 2nd to the flying Secret Liason. She beat the 3rd horse by 4 lengths and defeated 3 of her rivals in this race by between 5 and 8 lengths. Her form prior was terrific running in the first two in 7 consequative starts. The 2000m suits and Glen Boss sticks with her, she does rise 4kgs and is extremely short in early markets at around 1.75. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting-the-consistent-bia-diamond-is-all-the-rage-but-aliyana-can-cause-an-upset-and-is-the-value-in-the-race
DeanK
Re: Caulfield Betting 12th December [h=1]Caulfield Betting: Peter Moody's promising 3 year old stayer looks to have found a very winnable race[/h] CAULFIELD RACE 2 @ 2:10pm AESDT: The Legatee Ron Foskett in a BM68 race for 3 year olds over 1800m where KING KROVANH in the favourite with Betfair HOW THE RACE WILL BE RUN: Doesn’t seem a great deal of speed on paper. DIGITALISM might take up the running from barrier two. Although KING KROVANH has settled back in the field in the majority of his starts I can see Nolen taking advantage of the inside barrier here and driving him forward. TINKLERS SON showed good gate speed on debut and can settle handy while the rest of the field are likely to settle midfield or beyond in a race where the speed map is a fraction unclear. RACE ANALYSIS: This looks the perfect race for KING KROVANH. In his 5 start career thus far he is yet to put in a poor performance, last preparation he mixed it with the likes of Elite Elle who ended up a stakes class winner. This preparation he has had two runs, the first was in a 1200m maiden at Cranbourne where he looked a beaten horse with 300m to go before showing the touch of class finishing too well for all rivals to open his winning account. He then stepped to Saturday metro class where he settled back on an on-pace dominated day before hitting the line terrifically in running 3rd to his stable mate Lampedusa. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting-peter-moody-s-promising-3-year-old-stayer-looks-to-have-found-a-very-winnable-race-
