LINGFIELD A/W PROBLEMS

Recommended Posts

Racing can be cruel some days no more than yesterday for us. Lingfield all-weather course seems to be a hit and miss disaster zone at present, where punters dwell at their own peril. The new polytrack surface has played havoc with our choice of runners hence no capital gain just loss, yet it has been just a day’s plotting. It’s only apparent that once you lose you begin to question why and how? As the dedicated punters we seek out to correct these mistakes so inevitably do not bring us to our very own knees ever again. It’s now obvious that the characteristics of lingfield all-weather track have changed dramatically since the good old days where we could bang out five race cards with a margin that succeeded the profit margin. We would be very grateful to hear if anybody else is experiencing the very same mishaps.

This was inevitable following the resurfacing. We may see the same effect at Southwell when that reopens after the flood damage has been repaired. The new polytrack is a different composition and will take time to bed in- presumably the same people moaning about the good old days did the same when the old track went about ten years ago and also when Wolverhampton went from fibresand to polytrack.
