FAT AL and WESTRIVER KEVYDONN look the only leaders in the race. ROSIE ROCKET will push across from the wide gate and settle handy to the speed. NIBLICK raced on the speed last start and went well, so he will more than likely push forward as will PLAYING GOD from the good gate. The rest of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race that being on or around the speed could be advantageous. RACE ANALYSIS: It looks a tricky Railway on paper. Last years winner on protest LUCKYGRAY rises 5kg on last years race but he looks to be going as well as ever resuming with a dominant victory in the Lee Steere Stakes after a frustrating short Melbourne campaign. He will be back in the run in a race where the tempo doesn’t look too fast. He’s had 2 runs at the 1600m, one was last years Railway with 53kg where he hit the line extremely well. The other was over the winter where he started a short priced favourite at weight for age level where he was a narrow victor downing Grand Nirvana and ROSIE ROCKET. ROSIE ROCKET meets LUCKYGRAY 3kgs better on that run for a 0.5 length defeat and looks well over the odds at as much 26’s in early markets. Last start in the Ascot Gold Cup she was made to work hard in the early stages of the race before looking the winner with 200m to go and then just being shaded on the line by Pop Culture. http://www.betzone.com.au/ascot-betting-luckygray-aims-for-back-to-back-railways-but-rosie-rocket-can-cause-the-upset-

Re: Ascot Betting 24/11/2012 [h=1]Ascot Betting: The Eastern state visitors to take it up to the locals in the Winterbottom[/h] t410_f00_766017-hallowell-belle.jpg [TABLE=width: 384]

BARAKEY is obviously a very fast horse and will lead but there is a lot of pressure from TRAVINATOR, WERD, SOLSAY, and CONSERVATORIUM. WARATAH SECRET and HALLOWELL BELLE settle just off the pace with PINWHEEL while POWER PRINCESS and SPIRIT OF BOOM will get back and come with one late charge. Looks a race where all horses will get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Terrific race. It’s the battle of the up and coming Western Australian stars and the proven weight for age eastern state sprinters. HALLOWELL BELLE brings the strongest formline to the race. She’s ran 3rd and 4th behind star sprinters Mental and Sea Siren in her last two. In the Group 1 Patinack Farm Classic was got a mile back and looked like dropping out before finding the line strongly to finish an eye catching 3rd. The start prior in the Manikato she finished just as powerfully to finish a close up 4th. http://www.betzone.com.au/ascot-betting-the-eastern-state-visitors-to-take-it-up-to-the-locals-in-the-winterbottom
