HAPPY TRAILS and MORE JOYOUS will sit behind the leading bunch with SHOOT OUT and GREEN MOON on their tails. OCEAN PARK and REKINDLED INTEREST pair up next leaving the likelihood of SINCERO being trapped 3 wide high. The rest of the field settles midfield or beyond in a race where all horses will get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Cracking edition of the Cox Plate this year. Very even though and there is up to 8 genuine winning chances. GREEN MOON is as tough as they come, this was emphasised in the Turnball when he sat 3 wide without cover for the entire journey and was able to hold off his rivals to win the Group 1 event. His runs prior were terrific, just going down to HAPPY TRAILS in the Dato and storming home in the Memsie. He looks set for a cracking run in transit from barrier 5 and if this turns into a test of stamina which many Cox Plates do, you know he’ll be strong at the end. PIERRO was enormous in the Caulfield Guineas, Rawiller will be the first to admit he slaughtered the horse by riding him too aggressively, he was still there at the finish though and it looks like the 2000m won’t be an issue with a more conservative ride. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-in-an-open-cox-plate-the-tenacious-green-moon-looks-the-reliable-betting-option

Re: Moonee Valley Betting 27/10/2012 [h=1]Moonee Valley Betting: Chris Wallers star veteran Rangirangdo to prove the best horse in the race[/h] t380_737_Rangirangdoo-RawillerNash-04172010-9342.jpg [TABLE=width: 409]

SPACECRAFT probably leads from AMBIDEXTER. RANGIRANGDO and SOLZHENITSYN trial them with TOKUGAWA, ILLO and SILENT ACHIEVER bringing up the rear. This looks a tactical battle with a smart ride the key to winning the race. RACE ANALYSIS: When TAB sportsbet opened their markets and had RANGIRANGDO 4th in the betting at 5.5 I thought he must have been running with 3 legs. That price didn’t last long and neither should it have as RANGIRANGDO looks ideally placed in this field. He comes into this race 4th up, he resumed with 61.5kgs and stormed home from the tail of the field to run an eye catching 4th in the Tramway. He then went straight into the Group 1 George Main and was just pipped by stable mate Shoot Out who is contesting in the Cox Plate. His 3rd start this preparation was an absolutely luckless run in the Epsom where he was wide with no cover for the majority of the race with a big weight in an on-pace dominated affair. http://www.betzone.com.au/moonee-valley-betting-chris-wallers-star-veteran-rangirangdo-to-prove-the-best-horse-in-the-race
