DeanK Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 [h=1]The Flemington Wrap: Dream day for team Williams[/h] Team Williams had a day to remember at Flemington on Saturday, nailing 3 winners and a second in a day all stables dream about. The best of the team’s success came in the Group 1 Turnball Stakes when star stayer Green Moon took out the race in tenacious style. To put the icing on the cake for the Williams Stable, their Irish import Seville stormed home to run second to make it a quinella for the stable. Green Moon sat 3 wide for the majority of the race yet still travelled better than anything with 300m to go. Seville did loom up and look a winning chance but the toughness of Green Moon kicked in and he held of f his stable mate. Stable representative, Nick Williams who is the son of leviathan owner and some say trainer Lloyd Williams made a cheeky suggestion post race regarding the Cox Plate. http://www.betzone.com.au/the-flemington-wrap-dream-day-for-team-williams Quote
