MR MAKE BELIEVE probably leads from SHANGHAI WARRIOR, INSTINCTION and MOMENT OF CHANGE. SOLZHENITSYN from barrier 2 settles handy and probably enjoys the run of the race. PINWHEEL and SECOND EFFORT next in line with CENTENIAL PARK, MASTER MILTON and GLASS HARMONIUM behind them. GLASS HARMONIUM is usually a front runner, but at the shorter trip I think he’ll drift back to midfield. The rest of the field settle midfield or beyond in a race where every horse will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: Open edition to this year’s Sir Rupert Clarke Handicap. You could make a case for 6 or 7 runners. MOMENT OF CHANGE comes into the race 3rd up after a brilliant win in the Show County and then a luckless run in the Tramway when he was wide for the entire journey. Today he drops to 52kgs, gets Luke Nolen on board and although drawn barrier 15 he looks likely to get across and be handy to the speed. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting-the-moment-for-a-group-1

ROCCIN JO probably settles handy and CHATEAU MARGAUX might be more prominent today from a good barrier. Looks a race where every horse will get their chance barring bad luck or track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: This looks the perfect race for CHATEAU MARGAUX to win the first start this preparation. She’s been excellent in her two starts this time in work. Her first run was on a bog track at Caulfield where she covered ground and was wide for the majority of the race but still found the line better than all bar her stable mate in Thy who went on to win the race. She was then stepped up to Group 2 level in the Stocks Stakes and ran a terrific race under the circumstances. She settled back in the run off a dawdling tempo yet was running on strongly at the end of the race to finish 3rd. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting-moody-s-mare-the-one-to-beat
