He should lead this quite comfortably, RANGIRANGDO is drawn the outside and I expect him to push forward to be handy to the speed. DANLEIGH probably holds his position from the inside gate while SHOOT OUT looks likely to get the run of the race from barrier 4. QUINTESSENTIAL has shown versatility in her career so far so it would be no surprise if she pushes forward. SECRET ADMIRER and ALL TOO HARD will more than likely be back in the run. Looks a race where on-pacers will be advantaged. RACE ANALYSIS: Small field of 8 for the Group 1 George Main Stakes but there’s up to 6 genuine chances. SHOOT OUT resumes in this after trialling impressively. He’s been a model of consistency since transferring to the Chris Waller stable. Last preparation he didn’t miss a top 3 finish and took out the Group 1 Chipping Norton Stakes over 1600m. He seems to excel at the 1600m, has won 50% of his starts at Randwick, has the in-form Hugh Bowman on board and has drawn perfectly in barrier 4. http://www.betzone.com.au/randwick-betting-chris-waller-holds-the-keys-to-the-george-main

MIDAS TOUCH probably leads from GINGA DUDE. LIGHTS OF HEAVEN can be handier to the speed this week after drawing a good gate, MOURAYAN and THE VERMINATOR can race handy also. The rest of the field settle midfield or back in a race where being on-pace is the place to be. RACE ANALYSIS: A weight for age 2000m race without a great deal of weight for age form on paper. MOURAYAN may need this run to bring him onto peak fitness but it’s hard to ignore the form he displayed late last spring. His last 3 runs of the 2011 spring included winning the Bart Cummings over 2500m in dominant fashion, then a terrific 2nd in the G1 McKinnon Stakes over 2000m, and then he was just pipped out by stars Manighar and Americain in the Sandown Classic. His first up run in the Makybe Diva a fortnight ago was full of merit, finishing a strong 4th, just 2.6 lengths away from Southern Speed and Manighar. Today star Sydney jockey Hugh Bowman takes the ride, he has won on the horse before and he looks likely to get a nice on-pace run. http://www.betzone.com.au/randwick-betting-proven-wfa-stayer-tough-to-beat
