In what was a thrilling finish to the 1600m Group 2 race, the South Australian galloper held off the Lloyd Williams stayer in Green Moon who looked certain to run straight passed Happy Trails in the straight but the talented galloper dug deep to score the narrowest of victories. Trainer Paul Beshara was rightfully elated with the victory and declared the horse would now tackle the Cox Plate late next month. “This is unbelievable, it's a dream come true. Everybody wants to be on a happy trail and today we're on one, there'll be a big party tonight.” Beshara said.
