WorthaPunt
Re: League 1 > 1st/2nd September Crawley Town - Bet365 4/6 This looks a real big price for Crawley. Upbeat from their win last night, home advantage and have a days extra rest against a team who are likely to be tired from chasing the ball against a good Everton side. Defeats to Stevenage and Tranmere also add weight to this.
Jase82
Re: League 1 > 1st/2nd September Looks like the bookies have finally put our odds right. I don't think Oldham are the best league one side out there, so this is a winnable game. But I would wait. Kieran djilali missed out at the weekend, and should return. Lee Williamson will be out for a couple of weeks, while defender Kevin long will miss out through suspension after being sent off against Carlisle. That leaves us with fifth teen first team players available (IF djilali makes it, AND we don't lose anymore players between now and then). Goals should be a particularly profitable route to go down when betting on our games this season, and I don't think this game is any different. Although Oldham have only scored once in the league, which is a worry. Having said that, you'd expect them to get more joy against Pompey. We are playing very nice purposeful football under Michael Appleton. It's just defensively (as you'd expect from a defence thrown together in five minutes!) where we are letting ourselves down. We conceded two poor headed goals at Carlisle, where the markers didn't do heir job, and the absence of Kevin long could cause us some issues due to our lack of strength. I personally would like to see us win a couple before taking the plunge on us, because @ 2.10 I think we are slightly too short due to the fact we have no winning mentality as of yet. We are playing nice football, but I'd like to see us turn that positivity into real points before backing us. Also, both Portpin and the supporters trust submitted bids for ownership of the club last Friday, with a decision set to be made by our administrators this week. Should a deal be agreed, we will leave administration , and subsequently be deducted ten points, which will put us bottom. And that's when the situation changes, and things get real. swindonfan
Re: League 1 > 1st/2nd September I strongly agree about Crawley looks a good bet. Can now get 1.8 with coral if you are quick will probably be cut soon. Orient are currently 4-0 down to Everton at half time. Looks a real uphill struggle this season for Orient this season. Carrying over from last season they have lost 8 of their last 9 away games.
Jase82
Pompey have signed versatile 29 year old defender/midfielder Johannes Ertl, and 31 year old midfielder daryl Russell. Both on monthly contracts. Ertl was with sheffield united and released in the close season. Russell was part of the Norwich squad that won promotion in 2010. While youngster Sam magri has agreed to join Q.P.R. The two new signings will go straight into the squad for Saturdays game. With one extra loan signing maybe joining shortly. Jase82
We've also signed 32 year old striker, Daniel bogdanovic on a free. He'll also go straight into the squad for Saturday. However midfielder Kieran djilali has left the club by mutual consent.
MBOR
Re: League 1 > 1st/2nd September Brentford loaned two solid young players from Premiership both expected to start.Morale should be high as they smashed Crewe 5:1.Walsal performed well in their last two games but were well beaten by Doncaster at the opening day.It seems to be hard for them to find the net.I expect Brentford to fight for play-offs this year. They have a good squad.I usually involve such games in a combination. One should be careful if decide to put money on Brentford as a single bet.Otherwise 2.40 with Bet365 is a good offer. MK Dons are aiming at the places that provide direct promotion this year. The squad have a lot of goals in it.Their record for now is 1-1-1 after two hard travellings. What they need is a home game against a modest opponent to start a good run of form.Again morale is high because of the 2:1 win over Blackburn. Carlisle scored four against Pompey but are not so big team and if Dons are to fight for the League 1 title they should prove themselves in such games.Probably a single at 1.72 with Bet365. Good luck all.
Jase82
The deal for Daniel bogdanovich fell through at the last minute, so we couldn't sign him. However we did sign defender josh Thompson from Celtic, who has been training with us all summer. He won't play today though.
Jase82
You have to fancy Coventry @ 2.6 - PaddyPower / Coral. Crewe are either set up to win or draw, and I feel here the draw offers poor value. Crewe have lost talismanic midfielder Ashley Westwood, and while I'm sure there are players Capable of filling that midfield birth, I think that it is a blow to lose such a big player just like that. Coventry have had a stuttering start to life In league one, and were unfortunate last weekend against bury after racing into a two goal lead before seeing bury pull two back. Because of the way Crewe play I think they will make it easy for coventry to get on the scoresheet, and ultimately take the three points. I just can't see Crewe winning at the minute, and like I say, I think the draw offers poor value.
Jase82
Crawley v leyton orient under 2.5 goals @ 2.10 - ladbrokes. Bit risky but I think here the unders offer a decent bit of value. I wouldn't have thought anyone would expect orient to get anything against Crawley today. But I think they will set themselves up with five across the middle. Now they could always end up capitulating of course, but I feel Crawley may struggle to break them down, and a possible score line of two nil is a fair result. The price on Crawley has been hammered into submission, which I think is fair enough, but they may end up playing in Second gear because I don't really think they'll have too much trouble beating orient. Not with their away record.
RedDevil92
Re: League 1 > 1st/2nd September Crewe-Coventry AH0 away @1.80 4/10 pinnacle Crewe is poor, the lost 1-5 to Brentford last weekend. They have one of the worst squads at all in this division and are likely to face the immediate drop. They lost important midfielder Westwood to Aston Villa yesterday. Striker Pogba is rated 50-50 to play. Coventry sacked their manager last week but that shouldn't be any setback for them. They threw Birmingham with 3-2 out of the League Cup and as they have one of the best squads in the league, they should have enough to gain their first 3 points today. A few players are out but with this line, I feel quite comfortable.

WorthaPunt
Re: League 1 > 1st/2nd September Nice to see Crawley get the 3 points today. Was expecting it to be a bit of a larger margin. A wins a win though. Them and Partick Thistle served me well today.
