Jump Racing Tuesday 21st August

Worcester 4.50 Red Not Blue 1PT WIN @ 6/4 PP The booking of Tony McCoy for Red Not Blue looks significant and assuming his fall last time has not dented his confidence he looks a horse with the class to defy his penalty in a field of generally disappointing rivals. A winner of five handicap hurdles Red Not Blue made a winning chase debut back in June at Hereford jumping really well, before falling at the second last on his next run at Southwell, when upside a good yardstick and eventual winner Shoegazer. The slight drop back in trip today is a plus as all his best form is at distances short of three miles.

Re: Jump Racing Tuesday 21st August From the 5 runners going to post in Race 1 on the Perth card trainer L.Perratt's 7yr old grey has the best course experience and is worth a bet. From his 4 runs he has run 3 of them at Perth so he knows his way around the track by now, he was 2nd last time out and was never going to beat the 2/11 hot pot from the T.Vaughan yard but has nothing of that standard to beat today, jockey B.Hughes has rode him all his races and once again gets the leg up in the Perth opener - 14:25 Perth 2:25 - ANITOPIA. Trainer J.Goldie sends out 4 runners today for Perth but from the 4 i have him down as having a great chance in Race 3' on the card, the 7yr old has only ever run once before here at Perth back on the 31st of July when he came home 4th from 14 runners, however he was not far away and Mr Goldie gives the more than capable female jockey L.Alexander the leg up for the first time, showing at around 4/1 - 7/2 the combo are worth a nice confident bet. Perth 3:25 - SPIRIT OF NATION. Last race on the card is a real tricky race but will side with trainer A.Whillans sole runner, this 11yr old grey is another horse who knows his way around Perth and was a shade unlucky last time out on the 1st day of Aug, he was 3rd that day but did battle on very game, Jockey E.Whillans is another jockey that knows his way very well around Perth and this is his sole ride of the day, he would be a touch disappointed if he does not take home 1st prize. Perth 5:25 - DUNDOCK.
