ZAMORAR probably takes up the running from GOLDEN ARCHER and SHANGHAI WARRIOR with GREEN BIRDIE not too far away. Then there is a few that have the gate speed to go forward in TWILIGHTING and MIDAS TOUCH, who showed speed first up last preparation. The rest of the field are likely to get back or settle midfield in a race that looks set up for the on-pacers. RACE ANALYSIS: You couldn’t help but be impressed with GOLDEN ARCHER’S first up win over the 1000m down the Flemington straight. He was first up after 43 weeks without racing and was a massive drifter in betting before settling midfield off a hot tempo and swamping his rivals to record a 2 length victory. He gave a field of older horses weight that day including the 2nd horse Freereturn who went on to win last weekend at Moonee Valley. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-the-golden-form-to-continue-for-talented-sprinter

RAVANOUS LASS, AFRICAN PULSE, SANDUSKY CITY, JAYCONI, LIVIGNO all push towards the lead with VATICAN, JUGAHLATION, and RIAHGRAND not far away. The rest of the field will settle midfield or further back in a race that looks to suit those off the pace. RACE ANALYSIS: Keen on one at odds here. SPURCIFFIC hasn’t been the punters pal of late but she looks to get absolutely everything to suit here and if she’s ever going to win another race I think it could be today at a very attractive price. Her last two runs have been very good after a string of okay performances. Two starts ago she looked home at Caulfield before just weakening over the concluding stages to go down to Serene Star who has won 4 out of her last 5 starts. Last week at Moonee Valley she was posted 3 wide the entire journey by apprentice jockey Adam McCabe yet still managed to find the line well to be only beaten 1.6 lengths behind the smart Darley mare Glows. http://www.betzone.com.au/flemington-betting-consistent-mare-monster-value
