Re: Flat Racing - Thursday 2nd Aug - 3rd day of Goodwood Only other interest today: 7.15 Ffos Las - 3pts win L Frank Baum @ 8/1 (Hills) Bernard Llewellyn's runner appears to be back in form having gone well enough the last twice and he's off his last winning mark of 75. He went badly off the boil the three starts after winning at Bath last summer but appears to be back in business having gone within 1/2l back over the same c&d two starts ago. His effort last time out wasn't as bad as the result suggested and he should go closer today. He was beaten 12l in the end but considering the first two were clear and have franked the form since, it wasn't too bad. That was a 0-85 affair and this is a more reasonable 0-80 contest. Catterick wouldn't be this one's track either as he likes a more galloping venue with a stiffer finish. This is perhaps not quite as ideal as Bath but it should bring out the stamina a bit more than the Yorkshire venue and he did keep on under a 7lb claimer on that occasion. Dropped a pound back to a winning mark and with Martin Lane taking over the ride I think there's a big race to come from him now. The runner-up at Catterick won a 0-90 at York since and the winner was 2nd in a listed handicap hurdle so that was a hotter event than tonight and he's worth a decent bet.

Re: Flat Racing - Thursday 2nd Aug - 3rd day of Goodwood Event: Epsom Match Epsom 7.30 Selection Nadema Rose (Each-way) Strength 1/10 Date 02/08/2012 Bookmaker/Price

Bet365 @ 0.00 Reasoning Good debut last time out winning by 1 1/4 lengths at Yarmouth (1m). She raced held up, made headway from 2f out, and ran on to lead well inside the final furlong. She could spring another surprise carrying at least 8lbs less than her rivals. Trainer Anthony Carson is in great form having won 2 of the last 6; 108912.
