Think a lot of us will be playing the GUKPT Goliath in Coventry (if still in by Sunday), but also several other events including APAT European (Nott). Coventry thursday, brum sunday. Best of both. DrJbug Posted August 27, 2012 Share Posted August 27, 2012 Re: Broadway Casino Trip So Day 1 Done and Dusted 91 runners in the £30 triple chance with a £3k prize pool (10 paid I think) and more importantly a £35 last longer bet between us ;) It was left to me and Sax to fly the flag as the others bust in uninspiring style :\ I got crippled with 17 left when my AJ suited couldn't outrun J8 suited :( and my attempt at a double up was booted into touch when the SB decided to tank call with AT despite outchipping me by billions. I had the bad side of the 60/40 and her hand held. Sax followed later when he called AI vs a another short stacks button raise. His cards were live but not live enough and so he fell in 12th ish. I understand they have quite a few cash tables going also? Quite a lot of the old timers from walsall go there so might pop down 1 weekend. The cardroom is nice, tables are a bit cramped together but on the whole the dealers are good and the comps are well run. I have never played cash there so can't comment on that. The standard of play is pretty low, any 2 cards the same colour, even remotely connected gets played from any position. 5 limpers all calling a raise isn't uncommon.
