Potential leaders are TARIANA, ALPHA PROXIMA, and ZAMORAR with PLATELET, NIGHT WAR, HOT SPIN and RUE MAPLE next in line. SECOND EFFORT and ROYAL BENDER next with GREEN BIRDIE who is the mystery runner on the speed map. LE SOCIETE will be closer from the draw whilst the rest of the field probably drift back. Looks a race where all horses will get their chance barring bad luck and track bias. RACE ANALYSIS: This is an intriguing edition of the Sir John Monash Stakes. A combination of good old sprinters and the up and comers is the flavour of the race and in the early markets there is value a plenty to be had. SECOND EFFORT is one of the best wet trackers in Australia. His record on wet tracks stands at 7 wins from 7 starts and the current rating of Caulfield is a Heavy 8 with showers forecast. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting--second-effort-to-revel-in-the-mud

Re: Caulfield Betting 14th July [h=1]Caulfield Betting: Hot run to continue for Moody and Nolen[/h] t151_299_407277-luke-nolan.jpg [TABLE=width: 598]

GENUINE SPIN can probably cross over and lead this if they so desire. I expect MIN RIVER to be closer in the run than last week and she might even take up the lead if they don’t on GENUINE SPIN. ELLDAMI and TOTAL PERSUIT also push forward whilst the rest of the field will settle back or midfield. Looks a race where on-pacers will be advantaged. RACE ANALYSIS: GENUINE SPIN could not have been more impressive in her 4 length victory last start. It was her first go at 2000m and she seemed to relish the extra ground leaving her rivals in wake over the concluding stages. Today she rises in weight but gains the services of stable jockey Luke Nolen. http://www.betzone.com.au/caulfield-betting--hot-run-to-continue-for-moody-and-nolen
