Fred's Specialisations - Up to 1m Handicaps

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone PL Nation. This will be my diary here, the main goal is to improve my Yield (rather than my SR%) with the help of time, experience here and, of course, your suggestions. I do my best in sprint races (1m included) and I absolutely back only handicaps because it's mainly a battle between you and the compiler. No preference for classes, even if I think smaller races are very generous compared to bigger ones and probably I'll focus myself more on that type of fields. Well, of course only flat races in UK, at least now. Newmarket 5.05 I'm going with Duster here, which have not impressed in Windsor 30 days ago but was very efficient in 2010 and 2011 the second time out winning both races. I don't see a very competitive race here despite the 3 Class mark and he could improve. 85 mark is the same lto and last summer he was able to pick up nice placements with 87 and 88 too. Hughie Morrison has 2 winners out of 7 horses last 2 weeks and his astonishing +£35.88 at level stake on 55 test here is absolutely impressive. Odds are good for an interesting e/w. Duster 0.5 pts e/w @10/1 (Bet365) Newcastle 6.05 Dean Iarracht has already tested this track 7 times (only Red Scintilla has a similar number of previous runs here) and despite the final placements were just average it probably could be enough today in a very weak field. Lto in Redcar was 12/15 but in a more competetive Class 5 race. My only concern is about the distance: with 2 extra furlongs he has the pace to finish strong but over 1 mile it will be harder. Mickey Fenton is booked for today run and it can't be ignored his +£35.00 profit in 81 races in Newcastle. Dean Iarracht 0.5 pts e/w @16/1 (Bet365) Hamilton 7.25 Copperwood is not a weak favourite here. Of course a 2/1 price over a 8 horses field offers a poor value but to me he looks like two step over the rest of the field. Already won off a mark of 70 this year (Southwell, same distance) and today the compiler gives to him a OR of 64, mainly because of the two last disappointing efforts over this distance but even with Free Art and Goal here the field is absoluteley weaker than lto of this guy. Sir Mark Johnston knows the track and his horses are doing well recently, plus with the guide of the lord of Hamilton, Joe Fanning (26% of wins over 145 runs here), I don't see anything else than a Copperwood win. Copperwood 1 pt win @2/1 (Bet365) Probably tomorrow around 6/7pm I'll post something about late races (after 9pm) in Newcastle and Hamilton, need a deeper look.

Re: Fred's Specialisations - Up to 1m Handicaps First day here was a no-profit/no-loss debut. Wolverhampton 3.30 Slatey Hen is priced 10/1 but to me is not out of question a placement today. Probably doesn't have the skills and the stamina to win this race but his reunion with William Carson (which won with him in Lingfield last March) could produce good results. Richard Guest doesn't love too much the track but he is having a great period with a +£17.25 level stake profit last 14 days with 3 wins and 4 2nd places out of 23 runners. Slatey Hen 0.5 pts e/w @10/1 (>BetVictor, Bodog)
