If Windsor gets the go ahead, the heavy ground should make a great deal of difference to some of the runners chances. I feel this is especially the case in the 2 & 3yo races that they host. I've ran a 30 day query for the 2yo 5:40 race and Jimmy Elder's sire, Invincible Spirit, has two wins from two 2yo runs already this season, with one place from two overall on heavy going. Stretching it back to a year, the record is eight runs on heavy, with one win and a place, while there is not really another stallion whose progeny takes part that has any standout form on heavy. Pivotal's runner, Secret Quest, is the interest in the 6:40. The sire has recorded a one win and further five places from just eight on heavy this flat season, with one win and seven places from 19 for his 3yo's.:clap

Flat Racing - Mon 30th April 7:10 Windsor Copper Canyon 1pt win - 14/1 (PP) Forget his run lto, he was ridden all wrong and over a trip he isn't as effective over. Drops back to 10f today and this lightly raced gelding could yet have more improvement in him. The ground is an unknown, but he has that extra stamina and his pedigree certainly doesn't suggest he'll struggle on it. He's usually sluggish out of the stalls, but Windor's tight track should be ideal for him and given a fair pace looks likely with Uphold and Megalala in the line up, he should have something to aim at late on.
