Flat Racing 16th April (Windsor & Wolverhampton)

4.30 Windsor Bennandonner usually has a few runs on the AW but hasnt this winter and may well need this run despite returning on a good looking mark. Borug ex Godolphin horse that appeared to regress last year and has something to prove for new stable. Duster is plenty short enough for me and has to be again the Ryan Moore fact, prominent runner which often suits around here but needed a run last year and this sort of mark was proving beyond him last year. Moones My Name is the least exposed in this field and was good 2nd of this mark when last seen yard in good form aswell but not proven fresh and is plenty short enough and leaves little room for error at that sort of price. Zafeens Pearl has to be of interest based on her unlucky 2nd last time out at Kempton only beaten that day by the fast finishing Qaraaba who went on to win impressively again next time out at Doncaster in a good handicap off a 5lb higher mark so that makes a 4lb rise look very fair and although not proven on turf yet has only had 4 starts on turf so cannot dismiss on that and is very consistent. Starwatch is my other fancy, improved heaps and bounds last year mainly on ground with some cut underfoot winning 5 times all under this jockey, record fresh no inspiring which is the slight worry but if picking off where he left off last year he could easily defy a 3lb rise in the weights. 1pt win Zafeens Pearl 15/2 vc 0.5pt win Starwatch 10/1 vc 5.30 Windsor Shalambar should be well suited to this course given how it favours prominent runners, unlikely to get a soft lead with Timocracy in the field but he can be just as good one tracking the pace and has been in really good form on the AW this winter with a comfortable win last time out in a decent handicap for the grade and although 5lb higher back on turf has won on turf and over hurdles so no problems there and I just feel he is on an upward curve at present and that count for a lot with staying horses. Reset City is also one to keep on side having caught the eye on 2 recent runs, both times finishing well specially last time out when finishing from an uninspiring position long after the winner had flown. Handicapper been perhaps a tad kind not raising her mark a 1lb or 2lb still lightly raced for a 6 yr old and should be able to find a race over the next few months. 2pt win Shalambar 11/2 vc 0.5pt win Reset City 7/1 lads

Re: Flat Racing 16th April (Windsor & Wolverhampton) 5.00 Windsor Glad to see Windsor mondays are back albeit an afternoon this week until the lighter evenings come in STYLE & PANACHE is a regular visitor to the track and won here off a mark of 75 last summer. Trainer David Evans also has a decent record here in the handicaps and doesnt often leave a meeting without a prize or 2. Off a 2lb lower mark the horse looks to have a great chance under the guidance of Catherine Gannon 6/1 Paddy Power
