Mustafa Posted April 7, 2012 Share Posted April 7, 2012 This season I am using 5 units staking system and was just wondering if everyone is doing the same and what are the pros and cons of each way of betting. In my opinion with points system I have more flexibility. For example if I want to back underdog I would back it with 1 unit, but if I want to back a strong favorite at odds let's say 1.50 I would stake 5 units (maximum stake). However, if I was using flat stake system I wouldn't have backed an outsider at odds of let's say 8.00 and over. But with flat stake in my opinion you can pick less markets to bet on with odds @ 2.00 or more and then if you win 50% of your bets you will make profit. Hope I was able to explain it clearly.
