At over 7500 yards, distance off the tee can be a key advantage, and this will suit Vegas well. It was around this time last year that he backed up his maiden win with a 3rd place finish -- all in his rookie season. In contrast, the top 3 in the betting all have over 100 starts without a win. Briny Baird, who has 355 starts without a win is also shorter. For me this makes no sense and I think Vegas is definitely under-rated considering how incredibly short some other players are.
