They have very much home grown player in team. Nafta is a club who is half professional, they have nearly amateur players, because they have a really big financal problems. Best players was gone and now they have really poor players. Players who is in club are very unhappy. Triglav have a big motivation, they have more quallity and today they must to win. They don"t dave a money and they don"t have a good players. Here is just one class player and that is Vedran Vinko, who is in Slovenia U21 team. Other players are very poor. Nafta is the biggest favourite to relegated in this season. On the other side is Maribor, at the moment the best team in Slovenia. They have young, but very quallity team. They have very good atack with Tavares ( best player in Slovenia league), Velikonja ( one of the best youth players in Slovenia) and Volaš, who is a good striker. They have in team Agim Ibraimi. That player was Maribor buyed in this summer transfers from Nafta. He is very tehnical and fast player, who is in Maribor at the moment in the best form. Acctually Maribor must win that match anyway, because they wnat to be a champions. Here is no quqestions, who is favourite and more quallity in this match. Simao BVB Posted August 25, 2011 Share Posted August 25, 2011 Re: Slovenia PrvaLiga 2011/2012 Quick look of these week games: Celje vs Triglav: Celje in pretty good form at the moment, even more if we know that club is not one of more organized in Slovenia. They've got few very experienced players like Pavlovic, Gobec and a bunch of youngsters who are doing very well so far in the league. Triglav got to a very bad start, but start to show sth more against Olimpija in their last game, but it's too early to tell in their form is on uptrend. Celje should win, but not at this odds Koper - Rudar Velenje Koper is another club who is very unorganized with coaches, players come and go and then come back. They have a new stadium, great conditions for training and very good squad if we look at their names, but something is wrong in the coastline club. They should have new coach for this fixture Milivoj Bracun, who was here two times before. Rudar have a great coach Djuricic, who is known especially for developing young players and club is one of most organized in Slovenia. They have some talented young players. Odds for Koper seems too low, but i don't know how new coach would infect Koper's way of playing. Mura - Domzale Mura sacked their coach Pevnik after last defeat against MB 6-0 and the new coach is assistant coach of Maribor Ante Simundza, for who this will be his first job as head coach. They also bring two players on loan from Maribor (Rajko Rep and Timotej Dodlek), two young talented players that couldn't find their place in Maribor first eleven recently. Domzale is maybe third or fourth strongest club in the country but at the moment they have a lot of injuries, especially in defence. Last game even 16 year old played as left back. Olimpija - Maribor Main game of this round and biggest slovenian derby. Olimpija has best player of our league in Dare Vrsic and he was a matchwinner many times already this season. They're coming to the top after they were eliminated quite undeservedly in Europa League against Austria Vienna. They have a great squad and are the most serious contender for the league title along with Maribor. Their main weakness is a lack of attacker, so most of their goals come from midfield or set pieces. Maribor on the other side has somewhat up the standards in our league and are the most organized club in our country at the moment. They have a great, talented squad, but i'm not a fan of their coach Milanic, who i think should bring even more from the players he has at his disposal. They have tough game on Thursday with Glasgow Rangers away at Ibrox and will be probably tired for the sunday derby game. Gorica - Nafta Gorica has always been know for producing young talents (Birsa, Burgic, Jokic, Matavz...) and at the moment they have great attacking trio (Plut, Galesic, Franklin), who are all very lively and dangerous in front of goal. They also have some talent in midfield and defence with Mevlja brothers. Nafta on the other side is semi proffesional team with money problems. Last week their main attacking weapon Vedran Vinko just leave the team and went to France to join Metz. Transfer is not yet confirmed as Nafta want more money for him. They will surely be weakened with his departure. Other main players are Vas, Lesjak, Matjasec, they have couple of Hungarian players, but rest of them are unproven in this league. Koper has massive problems. mostly off the pitch and this then reflects on the pitch. The organisation of the club has hit an all time low (bookies still favour them, might be worth laying them in the next 3-5 games, we'll see how the new coach copes with the situation), players are being pushed in the starting eleven because they are friends with certain people or they pay their way through. I expect this to stop eventually, but I see this season ruined for them. also worth noting that this new coach is very defensive minded, as far as I can remember. so unders should be frequent with them. Mura is a newly promoted team who has good players, but lack exp at this level. this has and will cost them points. rajko rep should be the star player in mura, and as a maribor fan I really hope he gets his game together. he's been voted as one of the top 50 young players in europe last year. the team has an above-average fanbase which should motivate players a bit, but I can't see them winning against domzale or any other "serious" team in 1. SNL. Olimpija - Maribor The clash that whole slovenia is anticipating. as a true maribor fan i strongly believe we will destroy the frogs. Fitness has no role in this match. Both teams players will be 150% motivated (olimpija even more, it's the game of the season for them - maribor achived a great deal qualifying for EL) and will go over corpses if required. olimpija's greatest weakness is also their greatest weapon. if maribor can disable dare vrsic they've done 80% of the deal. milanic will probably start with the standard eleven, maybe resting a player or two, but that's max. olimpija also has full squad at their disposal. if anything, this match will probably be a draw and under 2.5. I wouldn't be suprised if we see 0:0 here, as Maribor are probably just looking to keep their 5 points advantage against the frogs and would be pretty happy with a draw. on the other side, olimpija has failed to beat maribor the last 5-6 years, but if you ask me, tomorow is the best chance they had in all those years. I will stay away from this one, or will bet a small amount on a draw. Gorica - Nafta Gorica is impressive atm, having won last 3 games without conceeding and always scoring more than 2, so I see a clear winner here. It's true that nafta is semi professional, it's true they probably have the smallest budget and Vedran Vinko is probably leaving along with Lesjak, but they are simply a team that amazes me. last year they were having massive financial problems, but they were around 3rd place at winter break. this fixture is probably lost for them, but against the weaker teams bookies seriously underestimate them. Domzale - Nafta: Domzale should win this game as they should have some of the injured players back for this encounter and have definitely better squad on paper. Nafta was somewhat weekend in the last days of transfer window as very important attacker Vinko (Metz) left the team, but they also stayed without important midfielder Lesjak, who went to Maribor. They brought two reinforcenments in Gabriel da Silva from Maribor and bosnian attacker, but da Silva is not on the level of Lesjak, while the attacker from Bosnia is quite unproven. Maribor - Celje: everything points out to Maribor victory, but not with these odds as they will have their minds on the Europa League game next week, which will be very important for them, so maybe we will see some fringe players for this game. Mura - Olimpija: before the international break i would say that this is sure away win, but developments since then made me think twice about the outcome. Mura changed coach and assistant coach of Maribor took over. He is unproven, but word is he posses qualities and i need some time to judge him. He also bring two players on loan from Maribor (Rep and Dodlek) who didn't play enough in Maribor, so they decided to come to Mura where they can develop faster (Rep was highly rated potential when he arrived to Maribor). Olimpija meanhwile get rid of three players, with left back Kasnik went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday, Rujovic (central midfielder) went to Triglav Kranj and Cvijanovic had his contract terminated. Their best player Vrsic played almost the whole game for national team vs Italy so he should be a little tired. Triglav Kranj - Koper: On paper everything looks like this should be Koper win, as they have better training conditions, better players and so on, but their management is a mess as they couldn't find a coach who would bring them some stability. They appointed croatian coach Bracun (he coached in Koper before and had mixed results) before the transfer window was closed and brought in croatian player Aganovic from Varazdin. Bracun had some time during international break to get to know his group of players but i'm still not sure they can win in Kranj, who is a team that can be very stubborn opposition or totally collapse.
