2.30 catt: johannesburg and opus maximus are evenly matched today and its very difficult to split the 2 of them ......johannesburg recorded a 133 at catterick lto over 7f but was fading badly at the last furlong and is probably more like a 137+ at 6f which he drops back to today ......if running to that level then will take a lot of pegging back 2pts win 3/1 generally opus maximus is considered the real danger

Re: FLAT RACING 13TH JULY Lupa Montana - 3.30 Lingfield (0.5ew 16/1 LAD) Already done my BBOTD, but (with that field subsequently reduced to 7 runners) this one is actually a better each-way selection. The form of her debut at Salisbury is working out amazingly well, with the first two having won next time out, the third winning at Windsor on Monday, and the horse that finished two places behind her also winning next time out. Having watched her debut run, she was very green in the first half of the race, and had to be pushed along from an early stage, but she then stayed on well enough to suggest that she could easily place in today's much weaker contest. Third favourite today, and just hoping that the full eight runners go to post. In any case the front two in the betting have each had plenty of chances already, and it's not completely out of the question that she could even improve enough to win the race for the in-form Beckett yard.
