Team orders, do you think they still happen?

With owners having more than one horse in a race do you think they employ team orders like they used to have in Fomula one before the ruling body outlawed it? The reason I ask is I've just watched a race from Gowran Park where O'Brien's horses finished first second & third but not in the order you'd expect

Re: Team orders, do you think they still happen? I am sure they do, not sure about in terms of order. With O'Brien I actually think sometimes they do not know which one is best and the market can be swayed by things like jockey bookings. Look at the Derby for example. In that Gowran race you can see why the second was fav with his form but the second was open to any amount of improvement It still happens with pacemakers as well, like Frankels last run and the othher horse just stopped to let him past!
