What were the race planners thinking when they decided to have 2 meetings within 20 miles of eachother, as today (Tuesday) you have Southwell (Nottinghamshire) & Nottingham both racing in the afternoon, bit bonkers if you ask me

Re: Race Planning Under European law, I don't think the "race planning" people have much say in who gets each meeting these days. As I understand it, BHA are not allowed to stop racecourses bidding for meetings under freedom of competition laws. To be fair, the two meetings (one jumps, one flat) should attract different audiences. Though it's not ideal.
