blackcrow Posted May 16, 2011 Share Posted May 16, 2011 Detroit -1.5 @ 2.47 pinnacle Scherzer is 6-0, with a 3.20 ERA as he allowed 2 runs in the 10-5 win over Toronto last Monday. He is 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA against Toronto, while at home, he is 3-0 with a very low 0.96 ERA in 4 starts there. While Toronto have been hitting well, the current form is hard to ignore and like him to contain Bautista. Drabek is 2-2, with a 4.81 ERA and is 0-2 with a high 8.31 ERA, as he allowed 4 runs in the 7-6 win over Boston. He has had problems with walking batters, allowing at least 3 walks in th 7 of his 8 starts, and with a Detroit side that is hitting well, they could be able to get some extra runs here. Philly -1.5 @ 2.28 pinnacle Lee is 2-3, with a 3.78 ERA as he allowed 3 runs in the 5-3 win over Florida, and will like his chances fo doing well against St Louis where he has won both his starts against them with a low 1.20 ERA to go with it. He is opposed by Westbrook who is 2-3, with a high 6.92 ERA, as he allowed 5 runs in the 11-4 loss to the Chicago Cubs last Wednesday. At home he is 1-2 with an even higher 8.24 ERA and did allow 4 runs in the 7-6 win over Philly. Doubt that the Cardinals can hit Lee here while the Phillies are more likely to hit Westbrook. Chicago Cubs @ 2.30 pinnacle Zambrano is 4-1, with a 4.35 ERA and though he is coming off allowing 4 runs on 8 hits in the 6-4 loss to St Louis, like him to pitch better in this road start, where he has a 2.43 ERA in winning his last 10 road games, and has a 0.75 ERA in winning his last 5 starts in Cincinnati. He likes pitching to the Reds where he is 7-1 with a 1.56 ERA in his last 8 starts against them. Bailey is 2-0, with a low 0.69 ERA, as he allowed 1 run in the 10-4 win over Houston, and then followed this up with allowing 5 hits in the 7-3 win over them again. But the Cubs hit much better than the Astros and can see him getting hit, as he is 1-2 with a 7.65 ERA in 4 starts against them, where he has allowed 29 hits and 13 walks in these 4 starts. Florida -1.5 @ 2.11 pinnacle Johnson is 3-1, with a low 1.63 ERA as he allowed 5 runs on 8 hits in the 6-3 loss to St Louis. He followed that up with 1 run on 6 hits in the 2-1 win over the Phillies. Like his chances of doing well here, as he is 8-1 with a 2.73 ERA in 13 starts vs the Mets, as he allowed 2 runs in the 6-2 win over them last month. Pelfrey is 3-3, with a much higher 5.74 ERA but has pitched well in allowing 5 runs in winning his last 2 starts. However he has struggled against Florida, going 0-7 with a 5.78 ERA in his last 12 starts against them, and allowed 5 runs in the loss to them last month when opposing Johnson. With Florida hitting well, like them to give Johnson some run support here LA Angels @ 2.23 pinnacle Pineiro is 2-0, with a 1.33 ERA as he has allowed just 3 runs and 15 hits in his 3 starts this season. He allowed 2 runs in the 6-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday and went 1-0 with a 1.57 ERA in 3 starts against Oakland last year. Like him to contain an Oakland batting line up that has scored 3 runs or less in 8 of their last 11 games. Anderson is 2-3, with a 3.21 ERA and allowed 4 runs on 6 hits and 4 walks in the 7-2 loss to Texas. Now he faces another good batting side where he has gone 0-2 with a 4.68 ERA in 4 starts vs the Los Angeles Angels. Can see them scoring some runs on him here. It's almost as if you should go through working out what your bets are, establish the sound reasoning... then go for the opposite! :sad I've only looked at maybe 6 or 7 nights properly this season, and just went for small stakes 4/5/6 selection accas - and on 3 nights I have managed to get a slip full of losing selections!
