£20 - £10,000 in 9 Bets Challenge

Start with £20, back odds between 1.95 and 2.05 only, and in 9 bets I reach about £10,000. As here:

20 40
80
160
320
640
1280
2560
5120
10240
Odds will be between 1.95 and 2.05 so I can stick to average odds of evens and therefore reach the target in the correct amount of bets, whilst not having to eliminate bets that are a couple of points off evens. If I lose I start again. I have 500 attempts to make the money before I reach £10,000 spent, I reckon I can do it in 10. :dude I won't bottle it if I reach £5120 stake, but no point discussing that til I reach it. First bet tonight maybe. edit: slight rule change - if I really fancy a bet over the odds of 2.05 then I will place it, but the minimum odds will still be 1.95. Therefore, 9 bets will always be the maximum required to reach the £10,000 target. if a bet is on the AH and I hit the line (stake is returned) then I will void the bet, ie. bet 3 returns stake = next bet will still be bet 3 Attempt 1) Lost on bet 5 (£351.96 reached) Attempt 2) Lost on bet 3 (£94.50 reached) Attempt 3) Lost on bet 1!

Re: £20 - £10,000 in 9 Bets Challenge

I guess you are not brave enough to bet 5000 with the last bet, or maybe earlier at 1000. :D Good luck ;)
I'll put up screenshots if people want proof...if I get that far :hope

Re: £20 - £10,000 in 9 Bets Challenge I agree, sounds great in theory but it will take a BRAVE MAN INDEED to bet £5120 down on a bet staked at around those odds! I will literally send you £20 myself over PayPal if you do it, I've said it on here! :rollin

Re: £20 - £10,000 in 9 Bets Challenge Haha I'll hold you to that :lol Bet 3) Osasuna to beat Sevilla @ 2.2 (William Hill) - £79.99 to win £95.99 - return will be £175.98. You'll see I've edited the rules slightly to allow for odds above the original threshold. That doesn't mean I'm going to just do £20 on 500/1 shots to try and win it in the first bet, it just means that when a bet I fancy is a few points above the evens target I will still take it. I won't take anything below 1.95 though, so I will still stick to my target of £20 to £10000 in 9 bets or less. Here is my progress so far and what the next bets will be with avg. evens odds:

20 40.5
40.5 79.9875
79.9875 175.9725
175.9725 351.945
351.945 703.89
703.89 1407.78
1407.78 2815.56
2815.56 5631.12
5631.12 11262.24

Re: £20 - £10,000 in 9 Bets Challenge Wow, didn't get back home until 65 mins, saw the score and thought I was done for... very lucky but Osasuna showed tremendous fighting spirit. This was the last to come up in a 7-leg accumulator too, so double-lcuky result! :lol

Re: £20 - £10,000 in 9 Bets Challenge Bet 4) Las Palmas to beat Cartagena @ evs with SJ. £175.98 to return £351.96. Couldn't decide between Las Palmas to win, or over 3.0 goals in Girona v Xerex, I decided on the fact that it's probably better not go down the AH road if possible, because it just adds to the amount of bets required.
