just a heads up ,i mentioned this horse on the frankel thread and i have personally backed it at 40/1 to win the guineas but he wasnt guarnteed to go for guineas because they had another horse planned but : as of 1 hour ago: Dubai Prince will miss the 2,000 Guineas and Epsom Derby following a training setback. He has been diagnosed with a hairline fracture of his right ilial wing and will need a few weeks to recuperate. Godolphin racing manager Simon Crisford said: "It is a big shame as he had been shaping up nicely. He should be fine for later in the season." Dubai Prince was about a 10-1 chance for the Guineas and 14-1 for the Derby, behind hot favourite Frankel. He was unbeaten in two starts as a juvenile for Dermot Weld and is now trained by Mahmood Al Zarooni. Godolphin still have Casamento and Saamidd engaged in the 2,000 Guineas and a decision regarding their participation will be made in the middle of next week. suddenly im more hopeful and have taken a £50 at 100/1 on him winning both the guineas and then going on to win derby (£5000!!!), obviously ive done my money if they dont enter him now but if confirmed soon then price will tumble

Re: casamento 24 mins ago ..... CASAMENTO IN GUINEAS FRAME Godolphin's Casamento is set to take his place in the line up for Saturday's Qipco 2000 Guineas at Newmarket. Winner of the Racing Post Trophy for Michael Halford as a juvenile, it had been thought he was more of a Derby contender for Sheikh Mohammed's operation. However, after another new recruit, Dubai Prince, was ruled out of the race through injury, Mahmood Al Zarooni and his team have had a rethink. Godolphin racing manager, Simon Crisford, said: "Sheikh Mohammed saw him last night and he was very pleased with what he saw. "There's a strong possibility that he will turn up on Saturday, but the reason we are sitting on the fence a little is because we always felt a mile and a half will be his best trip and we think he'd have a great chance in the Derby. "We've got to try to do what's best for the horse. "We think he's got enough speed for a mile and he's going very well so it will either be the Guineas or the Dante. "There's a strong chance he'll run, we just need the green light." maybe it will be a race after all :hope
