Jumps Racing - Thursday 7th April 2011 - Including Aintree

Recommended Posts

2:00 Aintree - Knockara Beau 0.5pts EW @ 50/1 SJ and 1pt EW W/O the big 2 @ 9/1 Bet365 Can't for the life of me understand why he is 50/1 here. Ok we have 2 very strong horses at the head of the market but outside of that there is no huge depth to the race. Knockara Beau has course winning form and has some very good form, recent and old in the book over hurdles. Interesting to see him kept over hurdles here and not in a chase. Handles the ground well too. Outside of the main 2 I think he has the beating of most in the race, if not all. Recent run in 4th at the festival was a blinder off top weight and worth noting he was 2nd behind Grands Crus in January, and Im not sure the margin of that victory, even 10l is worth 47pts difference in the market. A very good race with some very good horses but I am happy to go with him to at least make the top 5, fulfilling the place part of the w/o the top 2, and would hope he would be good enough to fulfil the win part of the bet too, bringing in the 50/1 place money.

Re: Jumps Racing - Thursday 7th April 2011 - Including Aintree Aintree 5.25 Sire Collonges 1pt EW - 10/1 Pateese 1pt EW - 12/1 2nd and 3rd behind Via Galilei at Newbury with the rest of the field well beat. Then Pateese went on to finish 3rd in the Imperial Cup beaten by Via Galilei and Alarazi. 2m4f should suit both horses. The Hobbs horse has been running prominently and the extra distance is definitely in his favor. Sire Collonges got outpaced at Newbury before staying on to chase the front two. I think these two have the beating of Megastar, who doesn't look particularly well handicapped. Get Me Out Of Here has quite a bit of weight. Problema Tic is interesting, because ground didn't suit lto, but the form of his novice wins looks weak.
